RFID devices
RFID identifies items by radio: unlike a barcode, the tag does not need to be seen by the reader, and many items can be read at once. That speeds up stock-taking, asset tracking and access control. POS Kosova supplies RFID readers, tags and cards, as well as Bixolon printers that print and encode RFID labels. Because an RFID system depends on your environment and your software, we always start with a conversation about the actual need.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between RFID and a barcode?
A barcode is read one at a time and has to be seen by the scanner. An RFID tag is read by radio, without line of sight, and many tags can be read at the same time.
Do I need special software for RFID?
Yes, the reader sends its data to software that processes it. Tell us which system you use and we advise on the equipment that matches it.
Can I print RFID labels myself?
Yes, with an RFID label printer. Some of the Bixolon printers we offer print the text and barcode and encode the label’s chip at the same time.
